Two hotels embracing the festive spirit

Two hotels in London are entering into the festive spirit with Christmassy interiors showcasing modern and magical installations.

Andaz Liverpool Street has installed a cabin-sized Christmas box in its lobby. The walk-in box, designed to entice guests to discover its secrets, has a gorgeous cut-out effect, which looks beautiful when light shines  through the intricate designs and into the darkened lobby. The neat red bow looks stunning from an aerial view and adds to the simple but very festive design, while scented Fornasetti Profumi candles add some atmosphere with fragrance. Inside the box, visitors have so far been treated to craft making, a carol service, and gift wrapping services.

Meanwhile, ME London has opted for a more openly contemporary approach with a social media-inspired light show in its Atrium. The pretty display incorporates Twitter and Instagram messages that use the hashtag #LightMEup, which take the form of cascading snowflakes.

The cool blue hues provide a wintry feel, which is balanced by the warm yellowish lights for a more festive touch.
