Industrial-look sports facility set to be the largest in Dubai

An innovative sports facility is due to open in Dubai and it has a design to match.

The Fit Republik Sports Academy, which will open in September, will be the largest of its kind in the city.

The interiors have been designed by Aedas Interiors, who have created a funky, stripped-down scheme ideal for a sports centre. Raw and recycled materials are the focus of the scheme, which has an exciting, industrial feel – very on-trend for commercial interiors.

Some fantastic features of the Academy include the graffiti walls, which harmonise really well with the art installations. Utilitarian furniture ensures that key pieces, such as the chairs shaped like giant hands, stand out, and the skeletal light fittings add to this back-to-basics look.

The walls and structure of Fit Republik, such as the concrete, steel, and wood, are left mostly exposed, which also adds a natural touch to the sports centre.
