A sumptuous bridal salon

A wedding planner in Japan has a welcoming new office with a subtle colour palette and soft, geometric arches.

The Bridal Salon in Hotel Nikko Kumamoto was designed by Ryo Matsui Architects, who played with perspective to make the most out of the small space. A series of partial archways divides the space, providing more private areas for consultations and discussions. The arches add softness and interest to the design, while subtly forming an aisle from the back of the office down to the reception desk, giving the space direction.

This subtle, soft approach is perfect for an understated and relaxing wedding planning environment, and this is taken further with the traditional colour palette.

Cream and ivory adorn the salon, but it’s the touches of silver that provide a little sparkle and luxury. The chairs and carpet match with matte silver, while a darker, greyish silver marks the aisle space between arches. Pale wood is the perfect accent material for this space, complementing the colour scheme and soft textures.
