A flagship store inspired by the countryside

Hunter’s first global flagship store boasts a stunning interior, inspired by the countryside.

The design for the Regent Street shop was created in collaboration with Checkland Kindleysides, who have fused Hunter’s unique, innovative identity with the countryside, the brand’s target environment.

The store’s interpretation of rural living has a very contemporary, almost Scandinavian feel. Country elements are framed against an explicitly retail-style background, which uses bold geometry in matte shades of grey, showing a modern face of the 160 year old brand.

Reds and greens are the dominant ‘countryside’ colours, standing out against the grey backdrop. These colours are bright and bold, which complement Hunter’s products.

Geometric patterns are what really set this retail design apart and provide its own character – we love the stunning forest display consisting of various hues of greens. This feature is given impact by its simplicity and is a stunning addition to the red wall below, which has bricks jutting out in a regular pattern, showcasing the many colours of Hunter’s iconic Wellington boots.
