Muraspec’s bespoke wallcoverings for hospitality interiors

This year, we have created a variety of stunning bespoke wallcoverings for hospitality interiors. Using digital elements within the manufacturing process means that through close collaboration, we can help designers achieve custom looks that set the perfect, unique tone for a room.

One of our projects, the first pictured, was for Premier Inn’s new “Hub” concept.  After creating and refining the design, which was inspired by natural wood and fabrics, we produced digital mock-ups for approval. This was a crucial step in the design process, as we needed to accommodate the client’s unique requirements (which included a bespoke repeat size for installation). We then invested in print cylinders and generated physical colour samples to create this special design that looks stunning in the hotel room pictured.

Another project, for The Hoxton Hotel, Holborn, saw us work closely with the hotel’s designers on two striking print designs that use delicate ink-style details inspired by the area’s history. We created a repeat that balanced the essence of the original concepts with practical considerations, which included roller circumference, engraving techniques and colour to retain the very fine painterly style of the designs. Again, we provided digital prototypes and lab samples to ensure that the product would be just right for this hotel. This project took just six weeks from concept to production, which shows how efficient and versatile the design process can be, when creating a unique setting and ambience.
