International Leader in Wallcoverings

British Minister of State for Security Visits Muraspec: Spotlight on Training and Apprenticeship Scheme

We recently had the great pleasure of hosting The Rt Hon Tom Tugendhat MBE VR MP, the British Minister of State for Security, at our factory in Tonbridge, Kent. As the largest employer in the area, Muraspec engaged in fruitful high-level discussions with Tom, along with our company director, Tariq Rashid, and our wider management team, regarding the various training and apprenticeship schemes that we have to offer.

Tom expressed admiration for our “excellent operation”, which allows us to retain complete control over the manufacturing process by producing all our wallcoverings in-house, utilising a diverse range of machinery and skilled expertise.

Furthermore, our in-house recycling facility allows us to effectively manage waste by using up to 30% recycled content in all our wallcoverings – as a result, we have achieved an impressive 58% reduction in our total carbon emissions in the local area.

This positive discussion led to Tom’s gratefulness for the points highlighted around the training and apprenticeship schemes that Muraspec provide and he’s keen to continue to do everything he can to help and support our business.

Tom’s time and support is hugely appreciate by us all here at Muraspec.
