A colourful pop-up restaurant for Casa Decor

The Mallorca Restaurant at last year’s Casa Decor design festival was devised by Ynot Studio, who combined some striking pieces for a vibrant feel.

The lighting really is the highlight of this design – just look at the central lighting feature which creates a colourful cascading effect with sweeping cables and suspended lampshades. The lampshades themselves are almost hypnotic with bright bands of colour radiating outwards like the light, giving the plain ceiling so much interest.

Pink and yellow furniture provides even more vibrancy to the scheme, which is balanced out with neutral grey accents enhancing the bursts of colour.

The designers have also taken maximum advantage of the unusual space, which has a circular atrium, with a stunning central installation incorporating the Chanel logo and a fun golden artwork of London’s most famous landmarks.

Plenty of natural light and small trees help the design breathe, which also help to keep the bright pops of colour on the right side of eye-catching (rather than eyesore).
