Muraspec Wallcoverings At New Liverpool Cocktail Bar, Tonight Josephine

Tonight Josephine, which recently opened in Liverpool’s lively city centre, is the Adventure Bar Group’s largest cocktail bar to date; and their first foray into the North. In partnership with contractor Stenball Group Ltd, the group has specified and installed our Muraspec Lustre wallcoverings, in striking Green 11409 & Silver 11401 colourway at their ‘instagrammable’ new bar.

The Challenge

The Adventure Bar Group faced the challenge of sourcing design elements that met the specific requirements of this full-of-personality chain of bars, which has locations across London, Cardiff and Birmingham.

The main concerns, particularly in relation to wallcoverings, was to find solutions that were robust and durable while also fitting in with Tonight Josephine’s uniquely audacious, bright-pink neon-lit party vibes. The right wallcoverings had to be visually striking and also needed to be able to withstand the test of time in the high traffic nature of a restaurant and entertainment setting. Luckily for us, Muraspec’s wallcoverings were more than up for this challenge.

The Solution

In partnership with the Stenball Group, the Adventure Bar Group planned the project to the detailed requirements of this research facility and, consequently, chose wallcoverings that complement and accurately reflect both the aesthetic and functional needs of a cocktail bar.

Lustre, from our Glitter collection, was the wallcovering of choice for the basement main bar area of this facility. It is a non-drop glitter wallcovering that is embellished with shimmering pieces of beautiful glitter particles, providing a uniquely dazzling and unmistakably conspicuous effect.

Lustre is printed on a 455 gsm non-woven fabric backing, and is Euro Class B fire rated. This collection is suitable for use in both commercial and high-end residential settings across a range of environments.

Lustre is available in 10 striking colourways including holographic white, bright silver, gunmetal, shimmering sand and silver, bubbly pink, midnight blue and sea green. Bespoke digital overprinting and custom colour options are also available with this eye-catching wallcovering range.

For this project, The Adventure Bar Group chose our Green 11409 colourway for the Basement Main Bar & Silver 11401 throughout, both of which reflect and complement the bubbly and spirited nature of this cocktail bar.

The Result

The Adventure Bar Group, in collaboration with Muraspec Wallcoverings, fulfilled its objectives of creating a bold & instagram-worthy cocktail bar. Tonight Josephine Liverpool achieves the same level of aesthetic uniqueness as their other locations.

Lustre wallcoverings are highly durable, long-lasting and incredibly easy to clean – this fabric-backed vinyl product can be scrubbed without issue. This was a crucial consideration from the initial stages of the project since, as a hospitality setting, Tonight Josephine is a heavy usage and high traffic environment that serves food and beverages. These wallcoverings are also Euro Class B fire-rated, which was another crucial need for this cocktail bar due to the presence of liquor and alcoholic beverages.

True to its name, Lustre also gives the wall surfaces of Tonight Josephine that extra bit of dazzle that completes the look of this lively cocktail bar. Our green and silver colourways contrast with and elevate the brightly-coloured neon-lit interiors of this space. We are excited to soon witness the amazing Instagram-worthy parties that will take place in this lively new venue.
