5 Pancras Square

5 Pancras Square, designed by Bennetts Associates, is a thoroughly modern office that looks stylish and is incredibly environmentally friendly.

The office building in North Camden has earned an Outstanding BREEAM rating for its eco measures, which include maximising natural daylight right into the heart of the building, where a central staircase is a standout feature. The staircase has a unique elongated shape with rounded edges, connecting the open-plan levels while still providing light and visibility throughout the building.

Colour plays a crucial part in this design: white dominates the design, reflecting light and producing an airy feel, with accents of blue accentuating the modernity of the office. But it’s the burst of colour throughout which provide a shock of excitement. This is shown in a conventional way, with each floor colour-coded at one end (as pictured), but in a more exciting manner in the basement.

This unique office block hosts more than just the usual facilities – in the basement, a gym, studio space, and even a swimming pool have been built in. A stunning LED light wall has been created for the swimming pool, changing colour between green, blue, purple, and pink.

5 Pancras Square is a thoroughly contemporary office building, offering more than just the standard in terms of facilities,  design, and sustainability.
