Environmental Standards

Certificate Number: EMS 74353

In 2004 Muraspec's manufacturing site achieved the exacting and internationally recognised ISO 14001 environmental standard, evidence of our firm commitment to environmental responsibility. ISO 14001 ensures that Muraspec complies with the latest regulations across all aspects of our business. All raw materials and manufacturing processes used to create our products, as well as factory emissions and recycling, are governed by a strict set of metrics and processes.

Energy saving measures mean we constantly review the amount of energy required to produce wallcoverings on a "per metre" basis. Additionally, in 2004 we embarked upon a ten-year energy reduction plan agreed with the government.

We are also active in local environmental projects in East Peckham in Kent, and the surrounding area. The East Peckham manufacturing facility lies in the river Medway valley, and the company supports The Medway Valley Countryside Partnership charity, which is dedicated to improving the valley environment through action programmes focused on nature conservation, bank restoration and education initiatives with local schools.
